I did a very quick, sketchy comic because I was extremely inspired by this post. (Credit to @pinkdiamondprince for the original post.)

The entire analogy was just fantastic and so, so accurate, and I wanted to make a comic for it, even if it’s very sketchy because my attention span is nil.

    Whoa.

    My mind’s a little blown.

    Hello, Sparkler fans!!

It’s time to cuddle up with some cocoa or a favorite hot beverage of choice (as long as you’re not in Los Angeles, where it’s still 85 degrees out), and check out our new issue!

We’ve got a hell of a plot twist in Knights-Errant, passionate confessions (?!) in Orange Junk, attempts to grow wiser while growing older in the prequel story to Tokyo Ghosts, dark pasts and shivery secrets in Magical How, and…the first installment of Decoy and Retrofit, the terrific new BL light novel from Hazel & Bell, creators of Always Raining Here and The Prison Tower! This was a goal in our Year 4 Kickstarter, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with a team as fresh and original as Hazel & Bell. We hope you all enjoy this story as much as we do!

As always, members can download the full issue here. And if you’re not a member and would like to read ahead of the site (there’s a lot to look forward to with this one!), you can sign up here!

    Enjoy!

    XOXO,

    The Sparkler Team

    Tokyo Ghosts has begun. :D

So what the fuck is with plus size clothing’s aversion to basics? I was thinking about it, and it’s like…they can’t ever just let a nice, simple item exist, and have to throw on some weird detail. Especially in professional wear, I’ve noticed. It’s like, impossible to find a plain basic thing to layer with. Some of these things can be cute and fun, but not when you can barely find a plain version if you’re lucky. Some examples:

-Oh, a nice cardigan! THE BACK IS LACE.
-Oh, what a nice sensible top for work OH LET’S CUT THE SHOULDERS OPEN.
-a nice, simple camisole WITH FUCKING RHINESTONES ON THE TITS
-This is a pretty dress WITH ONE LONG SLEEVE
-this cardigan doesn’t have any weird crochet on it GIANT TITTY RUFFLES
-what a pretty dress LET’S BUILD IN A CHEAP CULTURALLY-APPROPRIATIVE NECKLACE YOU CAN’T REMOVE
-slacks for work WITH PINK PINSTRIPES KAWAII~
-here’s a good t-shirt to layer with PARIS LOVE SPRAYPAINT DETAIL
-some sensible work pants! AVAILABLE IN JEWEL TONES THAT WILL NEVER MATCH ANYTHING ELSE YOU OWN
-Hey. a sedate black sweater. LOL EXCEPT THERE’S A PLAID COLLAR ON IT
-you wanted this dress in SEQUINED LEOPARD PRINT right?
-What a lovely, professional shirt OH BUT IT HAS A SHARKBITE HEM
-a nice blouse for work IN A CHARTREUSE FLORAL PRINT YOU CAN SEE FROM THE HIGHWAY
-something to wear over sundresses so that your upper arms are covered? PLEASE CHECK OUR “FAT GIRL IN A LITTLE COAT CHRIS FARLEY FOR HER” COLLECTION OF CAP SLEEVE BOLEROS
